Ninja Smoker Ribs
Time: 4 hours
Servings: 4-6
Ingredients
- Two racks of ribs (maximum)
- Seasoning
- Tin foil
Introduction
This is a recipe that I have refined over a few iterations, and I believe it is the best version I can make. The Ninja booklet states that ribs should take two hours, but I have found that this is nowhere near the correct amount of time. While the ribs are technically heated through at two hours, they require much more time to become really good. Cooking them for just two hours also dries them out, so they require a little special attention.
Directions
- Cut ribs into sections that fit on the grill. I used a measuring tape to ensure they fit because two racks is a tight fit.
- Rub seasoning on ribs (if they are not preseasoned).
- Load smoking chips into the grill.
- Set the grill to “smoker” mode at 250 degrees Fahrenheit for 4 hours.
- Add the meat – preheating is not necessary as it will heat up gradually.
- After one hour, rotate the ribs to ensure even heating.
- At two hours, wrap the ribs in tin foil.
- At three and a half hours, start checking the temperature periodically; you want to reach 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Once the meat has reached 200 degrees, you’re all done! This usually takes a little over 4 hours.
That’s it. Just requires some planning ahead.
